VITA Income Tax Preparation

VITA Income Tax Preparation In-Person

United Way of Denton County offers free tax preparation assistance for anyone with an income up to (not over) $67,000 per year. No appointment is required. Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:

  • Social Security Card or ITIN Card / Letter for everyone on the tax return
  • Photo ID with name for taxpayer and spouse, such as a driver's license, state ID, school ID, or passport
  • Employment and other income-related tax documents (W2, 1099, etc.)
  • Any letters or records related to stimulus payments and/or Child Tax Credit
  • Any other tax-related documents or IRS letters that my be necessary to file your income tax return 
  • Checkbook or bank document with routing and account numbers for direct deposit of tax refund

Some restrictions may apply. Click here to view tax scenarios and subjects that VITA volunteers CANNOT help you prepare.
