SUMMARY:Adult Volunteer Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Adults interested in volunteering must register for and attend 
 an in-person orientation. \n\nAdult volunteer opportunities are available 
 at the Library for anyone ages 18 and over. However\, the Library does not 
 offer volunteer hours for those needing court-ordered community service 
 hours. Adult volunteers primarily work in the Library Accounts department 
 as sorters and shelvers\, but also help with other miscellaneous tasks such 
 as cleaning media items\, searching for books on the shelves\, and other 
 special projects that help maintain the quality of our Library.\n\nIf 
 accepted to the program\, volunteers must then complete the City of 
 Lewisville volunteer packet and pass a background check before being 
 scheduled to work at the Library. Volunteers are expected to work at least 
 two\, two-hour shifts per month to maintain active volunteer status.
