Children's Study Room
The Children's Study Room is available for use by a small group, of which one must be an adult and at least one must be a child 12 years of age or younger. A valid full-privilege Lewisville Library card in good standing is required to make a reservation and to check out a room.
The Children's Study Room:
- can be used by a group once per day, for up to three hours.
- can be reserved up to three months in advance.
- may be reserved by a group no more than two times per calendar month.
- must be checked out at the Youth Services Desk by the person who made the reservation.
The Children's Study Room contains:
- 2 study tables
- 8 chairs
- 2 wall-mounted whiteboards
- Electric outlets
Whiteboard markers are available for checkout at the Youth Services Desk.
Beverages in a closed container are permitted in the Library. All food must be consumed at tables in the alcove just inside the west entrance of the Library.
The Children's Study Room seats up to 8 people (maximum occupancy: 14). Additional furniture may not be added without persmission from a library supervisor.

CHILDREN'S STUDY ROOM RESERVATION GUIDELINES
- A valid full-privilege Lewisville Library card in good standing is required to make a reservation and to check out a room. The email address associated with the library card number will be used to notify the cardholder of activity on the appointment, such as confirmations, cancellations, and reminders. Student cards, temporary cards, and guest passes may not be used to check out a room.
- The Children’s Study Room is available for use by a small group, of which one must be an adult and at least one of those must be 12 years of age or younger.
- The Children's Study Room can be used by a group once per day, for up to three hours.
- The Children's Study Room can be reserved by a group no moore than two times per calendar month. Reservations can be made online, in person, or over the phone up to three months in advance.
- Walk-ins are welcome pending availability. This can be outside of the alloted reservations per month; however, the limit of three hours per day still applies.
- Room reservations must be claimed by the person who made the reservation. The Children’s Study Room must be checked out at the Youth Services Desk in the Children’s Wing.
- Room reservation cancellations should be made as soon as possible. Reservations will be cancelled if the cardholder fails to claim the room reservation ("no show") within 15 minutes. Repeated failure to claim reservations may result in loss of the individual's privilege of reserving a room in the future.
- The cardholder under whom the room is checked out is responsible for any damages incurred during the use of the room.
- Whiteboard markers are available for checkout. Markers may also be purchased from the Library's office supply vending machine.

STEPS TO MAKE A RESERVATION:
- Identify your desired room on the horizontal calendar below.
- If available, click on the desired reservation time.
- The system defaults to a three-hour maximum reservation period. You can modify the reservation end time in the pop-out box that appears below the horizontal calendar.
- Click the Submit Times button, log in with your Lewisville library card number and PIN, and follow the prompts to complete your reservation request. You will receive an automated email confirmation when your appointment has been submitted successfully. (NOTE: It is recommended that you add @mail.libcal.com to your trusted email list to help prevent the automated emails from going to your Junk folder.)
